Greyhound (1907-1914)

The Greyhound was united hand-in-hand with the Aurora Auto-matic Machine Company near Chicago, Illinois. Aurora manufactured the engines for Indian Motorcycles, and marketed the same engines under their Thor label. The Greyhound was fitted with the Thor engine until 1910, when Aurora was struggling to meet its own brand requirements.

The marque then switched to motors from E.R. Thomas of Buffalo, New York and the Auto-Bi brand. The Greyhound was offered with a 494cc single or a V-twin, but by this time the market was ruled by the big three of Indian, Harley and Excelsior. Few examples of the Greyhound have survived the century.
